A reunion of Himalayan drone doom devotee Dolpo and Normandy black metal worshiper Iffernet.
●●●●●●●●●●●●
Following their encounter in the winter of 2019, the Italian drone pilgrims of Dolpo and the black metal duo Iffernet gathered at the end of 2021 to tour France. Since this travel, the two entities focused on the patient and careful release of a common opus. One side presents Dolpo's hypnotic and fascinating union of drone doom, the other two songs revealing the two extents of Iffernet's black metal.
A co-release of WV Sorcerer Productions, Croux Records & La Harelle.

IFFERNET
Born at the end of 2018, Iffernet plays black metal in an essential setting: with a guitar, drums, and vocals. Its debut album released in 2019 was followed by 'Silences' in 2022. After touring several times in Europe, Iffernet took part in Roadburn's off-program and the Icelandic Nordanpaunk Festival. The duo is now preparing a third album while joining Sunken for the last leg of its European tour.

DOLPO is an experimental atmospheric drone-doom band active since 2013, born out of the studies and research of some of its members in the field of anthropology and comparative religion.
DOLPO’s compositions are inspired by the tradition and the structures of the sacred music of ancestral
religious practices of Tibet, Mongolia, Nepal, and Northern India, forgotten ecstatic cults that merged into Bön, Tibetan Buddhism, and primitive Shaktism-Shivaism.
From those ancient tantric systems, DOLPO adopted some of its instruments (long telescopic trumpets Dung-Chen, human thigh bone trumpet Kangling, Gyaling, Dung-Dkar, Rolmo, Dhyangro, Damaru, Dorje Bell, Rag-dung) and the traditional central Asian throat singing technique Gyer and Gyuke, alongside those traditional instruments are juxtaposed modern instruments like loud electric guitars and bass, floor toms and cymbals, Taishogoto, overtone flute, plus a vast array of field recordings collected during the long explorations across the Himalayas.
During DOLPO live performances the mind of the audience is dragged from the familiar environment of the urban live club to the inaccessible holy areas on the desolate Himalayan mountains.
More than just a show, it is a ritual of initiation.
